Part time jobs during the school year

NJPIRG www.NJPIRG.org is hiring

students to work on our campaigns this summer in New Jersey. We're looking for folks that are hardworking, good communicators, and committed to making positive change.

This winter our top campaign is sto pping the use of Round-Up!*To sign up to learnmore click here. <http://fundforthepublicinterest.org/apply-now.html>*

Round-Up is one of the most widely used weed killers across the country. It is sold in stores for our own use in our own yards and sprayed onto our crops every day. The chemicals in Round-Up are now starting to show up in our rivers, food and even our bodies. The world health organization has come out and said that these chemicals could pose significant health risks.

The main chemical in Round-Up is glyphosate. Studies have shown that chemicals like this are often linked to cancer and reproductive development. Monsanto, the company that makes Round-Up, has been working hard to convince the EPA that we don't need to run any more tests on its safety. We know that with enough public support we can get  the EPA to stand up to Monsanto and stop the sale of Round-Up until more independent research is conducted.

In times like these, where we're unsure of the future of our EPA, it's crucial that we get as much public support as possible.

To win this campaign, we are hiring folks to get out into communities, and build support for this issue based out of our New Brunswick office.

Over the course of the winter you can expect to make between $10-$15/HR. It's a great way to build your resume, like an internship, but you get paid.
