Welcome the new Undergraduate Program Director for Environmental Sciences!

Dear all,

I have now served as UPD for two three-year terms.  Can you believe it!  After six years, I'm pretty burned out, so it is time for new leadership.  Effective July 1, the new UPD for the Environmental Science major will be Dr. Jeffra Schaefer.  Her office is just down the hall from mine.  I'll still be available for help and I will continue to advise my current advisees.  And I will do everything I can to make this a seamless transition.

Money to study abroad

Dear Members of the Rutgers-New Brunswick Community:





Central to the mission of the RU-1st program, Undergraduate Academic Affairs (UAA) has expanded additional funding opportunities to support first-generation Rutgers–New Brunswick students participating in study abroad. The RU-1st Scholarship was created to alleviate cost, one of the greatest barriers to study abroad. By providing fully-funded opportunities for students to engage in international experiences, this scholarship helps to provide access to high-impact learning opportunities within a truly global classroom.



I am pleased to announce that UAA has awarded 18 students with a scholarship to embark on programs organized, led, and taught by Rutgers faculty and facilitated through a partnership with Rutgers Global. Students will be part of programs that range from two to five weeks, and travel to locations that include Greece, Thailand, France, England, and Italy.
