Jobs with Fund for the Public Interest

The Fund for The Public Interest is looking for graduating seniors to help run our campaign offices across the country. The Fund works on environmental advocacy and public interest campaigns.

Representatives from our New Brunswick office will be at the Rutgers Career Fair on Friday, February 3rd.

The Fund for the Public Interest is a national, nonprofit organization that runs campaigns for America’s leading environmental and public interest organizations. We launched the Fund in 1982 to help find ways to engage people on the most pressing problems of our day and turn that support into solutions. And now we run the nation’s largest and most effective canvassing operation. Our canvassers talk to people one-on-one and through those interactions help make thousands, sometimes millions of people’s voices heard, through petitions, emails, small donations and meetings. That’s people power, and that’s what it takes to make a difference for the environment, for our democracy, and more. We’ve been running grassroots campaigns across the country since 1982.

Over the last 30 years, we’ve worked on behalf of U.S. PIRG, Environment America, and others on a wide range of issues in all parts of the country. Our canvassers have gathered more than 20 million petition signatures, and we’ve raised more than $500 million to help these groups win their campaigns. As a canvass director, that’s what you’ll do. You'll recruit and train up to 40 staff, mobilize supporters, raise money, train activists and work to get thousands of people to take action for groups working to save the environment, protect public health and more. If you're ready to build people power for great groups and make an impact on important issues, then you could be ready to be a canvass director with Fund for the Public Interest.

If you want to learn more about our positions check out www.fundjobs.org or call our office and talk to one of the current Directors who will be attending the career fair on Feb. 3rd Our number is 732-246-8128.
