Hello Professor:

Because backgrounds in environmental sciences and ecological studies help to provide a good foundation in Archaeology, students with such backgrounds can contribute a lot to the Archaeology Club. 

The organization is called a Club, but it is meant to be an Assembly, to give students the chance to make a difference at and outside of RU and to help them build up their resumes (as in volunteer opportunities, FREE practical experience, leadership opportunities, etc.).  Because archaeology is a very interdisciplinary field, contributions from all (academic) perspectives are welcome and necessary to make an impact.  so everyone's voice counts.  On Wednesday, we will brainstorm goals for the drafting of a petition to create an Archaeology major at RU and to (re)hire Archy professors.  Also, this will be a chance for students to voice additional problems that they see in Archy and Archy-related fields and after the meeting, we'll start an online poll for the student body to decide on the most important problems that they can help to change!  Food and refreshments will also be served.
