Job Title: Standards & Regulatory Compliance Manager / Sr. Manager

Overview:
We are currently seeking a Standards & Regulatory Compliance Manager or Sr. Manager
This position will be based in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

This position will have a key role in monitoring standards / regulation and providing analysis report and relevant information to LGE. The job overview includes: participating in industry standards development, establishing compliance strategies for application to LG products, and supporting internal groups and business units.

Position Description:

1)    Standards / Regulation Monitoring Information and Analysis Report
·       Monitor and summarize laws and regulations related to energy & telecommunications and make reports including implications to LGE.
·       Issue policy reports: review and analyze information on energy and telecommunications and make reports with key findings and implications to LGE.
·       Track and monitor progress in relevant laws, regulations, and standards. 
·       Research other companies’ and industry’s trend in new regulation.
·       Support factories and HQ in regulatory matters and compliance.
·       Assist with other compliance and regulatory initiatives as necessary.


2)    FCC Rule / Regulation and Compliance
·       Monitor FCC rule and regulation and provide analysis report and relevant information of them.
·       Support factories on compliance matters related to FCC rules and regulations.
·       Establish contact point with FCC related to all testing, certification, Grantee, and TCB activities within LG.

3)    Emerging Standards
·       Support LGE new business units on regulatory and standards matters.
·       Initiate High-Tech products on performance standards.
·       Attend rulemaking activities.

4)    Industry Associations / Alliance
·       Participate in relevant Industry Associations working groups as LG lead representative.
·       Support LG for Government Affairs and Public Relations in Association activities.
·       Cross functional efforts to align LG positions with Industry policies.
·       Develop policy positions for external use.


Qualification
·       Ability to summarize large documents with key findings.
·       College Degree or Masters.
·       Minimum 5 years experience in product regulatory compliance.
·       Familiar with Federal Energy and Telecommunications regulations.
·       Communication skills with stakeholders including government officials, industry and association representatives and Standard Development Organizations.


Preference
·       Knowledge of electronics products and home appliances.
·       Ability for innovative thinking with passion in this field.

Job Title: Standards & Environment Specialist

Overview:

The key roles for this position are administrating energy and environmental certification and monitoring regulatory standards for home appliances and consumer electronics. This position is responsible for providing feedback to HQ in Korea regarding energy and environmental regulatory standards and supporting LG’s standards and environmental affairs groups.

Position Description:

1)    Energy certification and environmental certification
·       Administer energy certification: DOE, CEC, Energy Star, etc.
·       Administer environmental certification.
·       Communication with HQ regarding various certification processes.
·       Build and maintain good relationships with various energy and environmental certification bodies.

2)    Regulatory standards and activities
·       Monitor, analysis, and report product regulatory standards, policies and trends.
·       Build and maintain good relationships with various government organizations.
·        Support HQ and factories in regulatory and compliance issues.
·       Assist with other regulatory and compliance initiatives as necessary.

3)    Industry associations
·       Participate in relevant industry associations and working groups as LG representative.
·       Act as a liaison between HQ and industry working groups to deliver LG’s position.
·       Support LG Government Affairs and Public Relations in association activities.

Qualification
·       Bilingual (English /Korean, oral and written).
·       Bachelors or masters degree in an engineering major (electrical or mechanical) or in environmental science is preferred.
·       0 to 5 years of work experience.
·       Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and capable of tracking progress in a timely manner is required.
·       Good communication skills and participation skills required.
·        Passion in this field, diligent attitude and strong sense of responsibility.
