Learning Community Graduate Advisors

Position Description:
“Eligible candidates must be matriculated in a graduate program in
Education, Psychology, Social Work, Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or
related field (…) Graduate Advisors will work with one of the three
learning communities by developing academic programming, advising
undergraduate peer mentors, and building a supportive academic environment
for program participants.   A strong understanding of Rutgers academic
services and on-campus student resources is essential.”

Duration:   May 2013 – May 2014
Hours:   15 – 20  hours / week
Compensation:   $20 / hour

Institute for Women’s Leadership (IWL)
Internship as IWL GROW Mentoring Program Assistant

Position Description:
“(Intern will) work with the Program Coordinator to design curriculum and
implement programming for mentor group mentoring (…and oversee) program
evaluation, assist in maintain a program budget, and administrative
maintenance.”

Duration:   Late August 2013 – May 2014

Raskin Lab
Undergraduate Research Assistant in Medicinal Plants

Position Description:
“(Research assistant will) take on a Cook Thesis project (…) as a new
member of the Raskin Lab, which specializes in nutraceuticals and
functional foods.   Researcher will explore the pharmacological benefits
of phytochemicals from quinoa seeds using plant extraction, chemical
quantification, cell culture, RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, and qRT-PCR.”
