This fall, we have just added a new course to the schedule called "Environmental Science Literacy" 375:197. Syllabus here. This course fulfills the ITR and 21C SEBS core curriculum requirements and has no prerequisites. It will be taught by Val Krumins, whom you may know from 375:203 Physical Principles. This course teaches introductory-level computer skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel. It also focuses on current issues and readings including "Silent Spring" and "Omnivore's Dilemma". Because this is an entry-level course, I will count it as an elective in the Environmental Science major, but only for people in the early stages of their major.
