New environmental science course offered this fall, fulfills ITR and 21C

This fall, we have just added a new course to the schedule called "Environmental Science Literacy"  375:197. Syllabus here.   This course fulfills the ITR and 21C SEBS core curriculum requirements and has no prerequisites.  It will be taught by Val Krumins, whom you may know from 375:203 Physical Principles.  This course teaches introductory-level computer skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel.  It also focuses on current issues and readings including "Silent Spring" and "Omnivore's Dilemma".  Because this is an entry-level course, I will count it as an elective in the Environmental Science major, but only for people in the early stages of their major.  If you would like me to approve it as an elective for you, email me.
