Study abroad in Greece

It is with great pleasure that the Department of Exercise Science and Sport Studies announces our first study abroad opportunity:
The course, 01:377:482 " Lifestyles of the Mediterranean", will be held from May 16 to May 30, and again from June 12 to June 26, 2016 in Greece (Athens and several islands). This program will present the traditional Mediterranean lifestyle pattern to students of the modern era, through conducting research, observing traditional practices, and undertaking experiential activities.
Students will have the opportunity to not only study, but to also experience the concept of the Mediterranean lifestyle in Greece, where this traditional lifestyle pattern has been implemented for thousands of years and researched in terms of its effects on health, well-being, and disease.
I would appreciate it very much if you would share this info with the Department Chairs of your School and ask them to distribute to their faculty.
The course is open to all students in all majors, both graduate and undergraduate. To further familiarize you with the course and its content, a link to the course information can be found on our Exercise Science & Sport Studies webpage. Use this link to access our web page as well as the information from the Rutgers Study Abroad Office. http://www.exsci.rutgers.edu/news-events/653-study-abroad-lifestyles-of-the-mediterranean.
The cost of the course is $3700 for in state students (airfare not included). The application deadline is March 1.
In addition to informing you about our new "adventure", we want to let you know that this is the first of many courses we want to develop in the area of “Mediterranean Lifestyle”. We will be asking for interested colleagues to join with us to offer a wide range of study abroad courses in the disciplines of medicine, nutrition-dietetics, sports science, food production, food industry, technology, informatics, trade, marketing, gastronomy, tourism, legislation, environmental science, anthropology, sociology, psychology, philosophy, religion, history, biology, geography, economics and others that will be of interest to our students.
Our goal is to create a full curriculum of embedded, full semester and summer/winter courses so that all of our students can have the opportunity to explore the world as part of their studies here at Rutgers University.
