Greenpeace Semester Spring Break

Hello —

I'm excited to tell you about two opportunities for students this spring break.
Young people are facing a year that will see big decisions on projects like Keystone XL and fracking in states from coast to coast, continued efforts to hold corporate polluters accountable, and a growing movement of everyday people standing up for the environment and social justice. And they are already rising to the challenge.

To give students the skills and experience to make an impact on these and other issues, Greenpeace has two great training opportunities this spring — see below and please share.

Greenpeace Semester Spring Break

Greenpeace’s student training program is now offering a Spring Break training - a week with us to learn about crucial environmental issues from experts in the field and the critical skills of environmental advocacy, including how to build a group in your community, campaign strategy, media tools, public speaking, and the concepts of non-violence in activism.  The program emphasizes hands-on learning and active participation; this is a great chance to see what it looks like to have a career in this work.

Location: Washington, D.C.

Dates: Session 1 — March 10-14 (full) and Session 2 — March 24-28

Tuition is $250 and housing is $155 if needed.  Scholarships are available to cover these fees and/or travel costs.

Contact Mary at usa-semester@greenpeace.org with questions.

APPLY HERE BY JANUARY 31
