Study abroad in Ireland

Dear Dr Rodenburg,

Our field schools in Ireland provides third level training in heritage based studies to individual students and university partners (see www.iafs.ie or www.irishheritageschool.com for more detail). This year the IAFS and IHS are launching an exciting new Environmental Science (ES)/Landscape Archaeology course (see here) in partnership with the Institute of Field Research.

The program, while primarily based in Birr, County Offaly, will be taught from three iconic Irish landscapes including the midland blanket and raised bogs in Co. Offaly, the karst limestone landscape of the Burren in Co. Clare, and the Atlantic wilderness of Clare Island, Co. Mayo. Operating in different locations will provide students with an in-depth understanding of the natural landscape, from the natural geology up. The program is designed to provide foundational knowledge to students from diverse disciplines including geography, environmental science, archaeology, geology, anthropology, ecology and other backgrounds.

I was wondering if you, or a colleague, would mind either displaying our flier (click here) or forwarding details of the program to any of your students who may be interested in international experience in ES.
