This month University Career Services would like to highlight the following opportunities:



FALL UNDERGRADUATE CAREER CONFERENCE:



Fall Undergraduate Conference: A Casual Career Event

Wednesday, November 2, 2016

4 PM – 8:30 PM

Busch Student Center, MPR

The conference will offer a relaxed setting where students can:



- Engage in speed learning sessions with employers on career “hot topics”

- Take a deep dive into goal-setting or self-assessment in the form of a skills inventory

- Learn dining etiquette at a networking dinner with employers

- Explore internships at the Internship Gallery where students in the Rutgers Internship and Co-op program will share their experiences through a poster presentation

NETWORKING EVENTS WITH EMPLOYERS:



University Career Services creates opportunities for students to make connections with a broad range of prospective employers. Two series that we are featuring in November are Employer Networking and Information Sessions and our Industry Connect Programs. Please provide these details to students:



Employer Networking and Information Sessions:

Throughout the semester, employers will host information sessions about their organization for students. Students will hear an overview about the mission of the organization, positions for which they are recruiting, and will have the opportunity to ask questions. Details are available at careers.rutgers.edu on the home page under “Employment Highlights”.



Industry Connect Series:

Industry Connect Events are a great way for students to meet professionals in an industry or field of interest. These networking events allow students to learn what a “day in the life” of a particular job or industry is like, as well as meet successful professionals including alumni and recruiters. Students are able to explore careers of interest and connect with employers at the same event.
