“What do I need to know about the employment search and hiring culture in the U.S?”

Our special guest speaker and author of Power Ties: The International Student’s Guide to Finding a Job in the United States, Dan Beaudry, will discuss his job search system for internships and jobs in the U.S. Mr. Beaudry will share strategies to find these opportunities as well as strategies to secure employer sponsorship.

You will discover: * Why 80 percent of open jobs are never advertised - and how to find them before anyone else. * How H-1B sponsorship happens from the inside and how to secure H-1B sponsorship at companies that have a policy against sponsoring H-1B visas. * Why the human resources department is often an obstacle to finding a U.S. job and how to bypass it.

** Co-sponsored with the Center for Global Services, Of the Center for Global Advancement and International Affairs (GAIA Centers) **
