Greenpeace

Hi —

Apply today!

Summer application deadline:  April 1
First, thanks again for supporting the Greenpeace Semester, Greenpeace’s environmental training program for young leaders.
As I write this, our current class is in North Carolina mobilizing residents to oppose rate hikes by Duke Energy, the country's largest electric utility and one that continues to use dirty coal power that is badly polluting North Carolina's air.

We are accepting applications now for our summer and fall terms and the deadline for summer is soon — April 1. If you haven’t already, please forward this email to your department list, program, career center list, or to individual students you think are a good fit for the Greenpeace Semester.

Greenpeace Semester — Accepting Summer/Fall Applications

A semester with Greenpeace: what will it look like?
  • Twelve weeks in fall or five weeks in summer with a group of peers immersed in engaging workshops, discussions, group projects, skills training, and real work to solve critical global environmental problems
  • Travel for one - three weeks to witness environmental destruction and put your new knowledge into practice
  • Learn the skills of environmental activism, effective issue communication, team work, leadership, and strategic campaigning in a supportive environment
  • Live in Washington D.C. — access to monuments, museums, and close proximity to New York City, Philadelphia, and beautiful Shenandoah Valley
  • Experience to give you a foot in the door in the environmental or social justice field — in fact, there are currently seven program alumni on staff at Greenpeace!
The planet needs advocates — here's a chance to learn the skills to be one.
