Laboratory Technician Opening at Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority

Opening for Laboratory Technician position at major wastewater treatment facility in Linden, NJ. Laboratory is NJDEP certified to analyze 25+ parameters. Position will entail analyzing wastewater and sludge samples for inorganic, microbiological, and metals testing. Responsible for conducting analyses according to standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality control protocol, and EPA/Standard Methods protocols. Required to operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment, including troubleshooting and calibration checks. Prepare chemical reagents and solutions and microbiological media for analysis. Preserve and handle samples in accordance to protocol and fill out and maintain chain of custodies. Perform and report calculated sample results and complete data entry into computer.

Qualifications: A.S. Degree in Chem., Bio. or Env. Science with 3 yrs. exp. in a wastewater laboratory or B.S. Degree in Chem., Bio. or Env. Science with 1 yr. exp. in a wastewater laboratory. Air & Waste Management Association of NJ Career Panel Discussion TOMORROW

On Wednesday, April 18th, The Environmental Sciences Graduate Student Association and the Air & Waste Management Association of NJ invite you to attend our Student Poster Competition and Career Panel Discussion in the Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences Building, Room 223 beginning at 10:00am. Please come out and support the undergraduate and graduate students presenting their research.

    In addition to the Career Panel Discussion, the following corporations will have booths at the event: Haley & Aldrich, Johnson & Johnson, Covanta Energy, and Trinity Consultants. Undergraduates are encouraged to bring their resumes as at least one company has indicated to us they have summer internship opportunities.

Scholarship for Bergen County resident

***Ho-Ho-KusGarden Club Scholarship***

$1000 scholarship available to a resident of Bergen County studying horticulture or one of the related sciences. Any major related to forestry, horticulture, botany or environmental sciences qualifies a student. To qualify, the student must be a resident of Bergen County.
